My story as a bicycle fanatic started long ago. I have always loved cycling to get around. As a kid growing up in the 80's and 90's, my bicycle was my freedom. Even when I got a car, I still used the bicycle to go short distances into places I could not get into with a car and to get around town. While growing up in Sandy Hook, CT, there was really not much to do than to work on your bicycle and build peddle cars from bicycle parts. When I graduated from high school and entered college, aviation was my career interest, while cycling was still on the radar. I used my bicycle to get around while I also lived in Stamford, CT . In 1998, I moved to Miami and used my bicycle to get back and forth to work. I found it great fun and healthy. In 2012, I started welding and building bicycles, of which I built a recumbent bicycle using my welder. It went well and that lead me down the path to starting our own shop.
In June of 2013, with the help of my parents, brother and my wife, Enid, I found a place to set up shop in West Kendall. Enid came up with our catchy name, Two Wheel Picker, since we liked looking for vintage bicycles every chance we had and so was born our family bicycle repair business.
